Creative Char's FIRST Blog Post

So I thought I would write a little bit about me as my first blog post. Why not?

So I’m Charlotte and if I’m completely honest with you guys, naturally, I don’t feel comfortable writing, I’m a much more visual person and feel I can tell a million more words in a visual format than I could ever write. So this brings me to a question I wonder a lot ... WHY are graphic designers still employed by their CV’s and cover letters? Anyone can tell you how their a 10/10 on Photoshop, but to actually have proof in the pudding, surely that matters more than a flattering note to the manager? (I digress, I will write a blog post on this!)

Anyway! I’m a Sagittarius, Rick and Morty fanatic. cat lover (and owner). I love swimming and travelling – when I travelled in Thailand in 2017 I had the opportunity to swim in the most amazing places, such as a completely empty beach at sunset, hot springs and hostel pools (hmmm the last one doesn’t sound as flash does it). I love taking in new food, culture and art – there’s nothing more exciting about life in my opinion!

So my baby, my light, my reason for living: Bella

I know every owner says this but honestly, she is the cutest, most hilarious cat – she is so intelligent and communicative. I will be writing a few blog posts about cat’s, the different breeds, what we should (or not) be feeding them, that sort of thing – so keep a look out!

So back to design, I’ve worked in the industry for over 5 years now and it has gone so quick, like incredibly quick it’s crazy, but I’ve learnt SO much on the way. I highly recommend working in a full-time position for a few years before heading into the scary world of freelance, you collect a lot of organisation skills, admin/filing ideas and get to socialise with other creatives like yourselves!

This was only a small blog post ... nothing too in depth, but I'm sure you'll find much more about me if you continue reading my blogs! Who knows what info might slip out (oops)!
